The course is primarily designed for imparting training for the officers and staffs of the VTCs. Officers and executives posted in the mine site and Headquarters are also eligible to apply and attend the online training programme, the first of its kind by CEP, IIT Kharagpur.
The broad topics that will be covered include, inter alia:
- Planning and design of Vocational Training Services
- Planning and conductance of Job Task Analysis
- Requirements and characteristics of an online VET system and its development
- Approaches for an effective vocational training system
- Reformation of vocational training to make it more effective for safety and productivity
- Strategies for Change management in Workplace learning, Competency-based education and training, Open and distance learning, and technology-enhanced learning and Monitoring and evaluation
After attending the course, the participants will be able to implement the following
- Develop Safety and Productivity Oriented Worker’s Development Programme
- Develop VTC augmentation plan specifying ICT requirements
- Plan outcome based apprentice development program
- Determine activities to monitor and to evaluate the effects and results of training programs
- Prepare facility plans for effective VTC
